With summer coming to an end, I thought it would be fun to create a tropical themed drink station and celebrate the season once more! The best part is that you don’t need an actual bar cart! Use any area of your home that allows for enough room for guests to mingle, since they always tend to gather wherever the liquor is.  In my NYC apartment, I don’t have room for a bar cart (can’t wait for when I do!) so as you can see I placed a rattan basket (that we normally use for magazines & throws) on top of the other and made sure it was sturdy enough for a drink station. How gorgeous are these baskets?! I fell in love with them at my second home Anthropologie. I accompanied them with my favorite folding table from CB2 that I use religiously for just about everything! I always feel that the dessert & bar stations are the two areas you can really showcase your theme of the party & have fun decorating.

I put together the tropical inspired flower arrangement with flowers picked out from the local bodega & made sure to add greenery everywhere. Food is always a fun & inexpensive way to play up your theme so I knew adding a pineapple & some colorful fruits would be the perfect way to achieve that summer escape. The flamingo pitcher & glass set was just too adorable to pass up at TJ Maxx. I made a refreshing peach strawberry lemonade mocktail and added fruit on skewers for drinks, which is always a pretty touch that your guests will love. I found the rose flower garland on Amazon and it comes in an assortment of pretty colors. The beautiful decorative metal circles are handmade from Free People, that I believe they used to decorate the store.  There really are simple ways to add an extra touch of fun to any party and in this case enjoy the last bit of summer in your home.

Hope you have a lovely + safe Labor Day weekend!

With love,

Kyranna
